Highlights from the 8/11/09 InSource Board Meeting

 

A meeting of the InSource Board of Directors was held on August 11, 2009, with the following items discussed:

 

InSource welcomes The Creative Group as a Presenting Sponsor of the work of InSource! In addition to financial support, The Creative Group (www.creativegroup.com) will provide various information and professional resources for InSource members. In particular, InSource Board Member Carolyn Dacey of The Creative Group will assist InSource in serving as a career resource for people in the in-house corporate creative world.

 

A proposed plan of programs (both Webinars and regional roundtable events) for InSource was discussed at length, which encompasses a full year of topics—a more comprehensive approach than planning only one program at a time. Recruitment of event “champions” to orchestrate each program and logistics for implementation are now in progress.

 

Inside Track (the InSource e-newsletter) is now developed and distributed in a timely way with relevant content addressing the needs and interests of InSource members. For example, the highest number of clickthroughs on the latest issue were for the articles on “Are your in-house creatives indentured servants?” and “Tips for managing creative professionals and creative teams.” Anyone who did not receive this e-newsletter is encouraged to contact marty@in-source.org with any changes in your contact information. (Some e-mail addresses on file have changed?) 

 

InSource expresses appreciation to Gordon Kaye, Publisher of GDUSA (www.gdusa.com), for ongoing support in increasing awareness of InSource to GDUSA readers. The July/August 2009 issue features American Inhouse Design Awards, with a full-page ad about InSource on page 38!
